About

Hygieia was the Greek Goddess of cleanliness, sanitation and health, adored by her power to prevent -not cure- sickness. The HYGIEIA project aims to design a ground-breaking transnational Master providing scientific knowledge and competencies that are applicable in strategies ensuring health and wellbeing through non-pharmacological approaches, namely by nutritional and lifestyle education and by the use of non-drug products such as cosmetics or food supplements.

HYGIEIA-Health and Wellbeing Across the Lifespan Master aims to attract the best students worldwide aspiring to a career in the health and wellness industry and businesses, enabling them to make a significant contribution to the transformation of societies, not only from an economic perspective, but also by improving public health, thus increasing the resilience and sustainability of the populations.

HYGIEIA will be led by Lusófona University (Lisbon). The Consortium includes the University Belgrade (Serbia) and the University of Balearic Islands (Spain) as academic partners, and other stakeholders from Academia, SMEs, medical societies, healthcare providers.
